Dr. Surya N. Mundluru is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at McGovern Medical School at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth). His training experience has given him a unique perspective related to pediatric care and has presented on various topics at national meetings.

     He started in the Department of Internal Medicine and Department of Pediatrics at the prestigious Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He developed a love for pediatric orthopedic treatment and care, and went on to pursue further training at NYU Langone Hospital for Joint Diseases in orthopedic surgery. He completed a fellowship in pediatric orthopedic surgery and scoliosis at the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, Dallas, TX.

 

     Dr. Mundluru is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, and the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America.  He has a passion for tennis (former NCAA Division I tennis player), cycling, yoga, and martial arts.
